Job Summary : Tenaska Marketing Ventures (TMV) is seeking a creative and detail-driven Customer Event Coordinator to join our Communications & Customer Engagement team in Omaha, NE. This hands-on role supports customer events across North America that help strengthen and grow TMV's relationships with customers. Working closely with TMV's commercial team, the Customer Event Coordinator helps bring a wide range of events to life, from customer experiences at major sporting events such as the College World Series, WM Phoenix Open, and other premier venues, to industry conferences, holiday receptions, customer appreciation events, and other engagement opportunities throughout the year. This role spans both sides of an event: the creative work that shapes the customer experience and the execution that makes it happen. The Customer Event Coordinator develops invitations, digital collateral, event websites, and registration forms, then coordinates vendors, logistics, materials, and on-site details to deliver a seamless experience from start to finish. Working under the direction of the Manager, Customer Events, the Customer Event Coordinator supports events from planning through follow-up while also helping execute customer engagement campaigns, holiday gifting programs, and promotional item procurement. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Location: Onsite in Omaha, NE Essential Job Functions : Collaborate with the TMV commercial team to understand customer event objectives, preferences, and budget considerations to support the development and presentation of creative event concepts, design options, and proposals Create and manage detailed event timelines, deadlines, duties, and schedules, tracking progress across multiple concurrent events and proactively flagging risks, delays, or resource needs to keep each event on schedule Design and develop event-specific web pages and forms to facilitate registration, name tags, feedback collection, and other interactive elements Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including catering, décor, entertainment, audiovisual, collateral requirements, day-to-day vendor coordination and scheduling, on-site setup, execution, and teardown Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal team members to ensure all parties are informed and aligned throughout the event planning process and provide timely resolution of issues as they arise Support budgeting and reporting of all expenses related to event management, including tracking costs against approved budgets, processing invoices and receipts, reconciling vendor charges, and preparing expense summaries Support post-event evaluations and debriefs by compiling feedback, registration and attendance data, vendor performance notes, and documented lessons learned to inform future event planning Provide graphic support for customer event initiatives, including holiday gifting and promotional item procurement; and maintain customer information in the CRM tool for event invite lists Assist with internal employee and executive events Basic Requirements : Associate or bachelor’s degree in event management or hospitality, marketing, communications or related field (required). Minimum of 2 – 3 years of professional experience in event planning and coordination, including hands-on support of events from concept through on-site execution and post-event follow-up. Demonstrated graphics and campaign experience, evidenced by a portfolio of design work such as event invitations, digital collateral, event web pages, and registration or feedback forms. Experience creating and managing events and registration platforms, including Canva and CRM tools.
