Customer Demand Planner

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Customer Demand Planner to join our supply chain management team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately forecasting customer demand, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring seamless coordination across sales, manufacturing, logistics, and procurement functions. Your expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and business intelligence tools will drive strategic decision-making and enhance overall supply chain efficiency. Duties Develop and maintain customer demand forecasts based on historical orders, customer trends, and business requirements. Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using advanced statistical analysis and demand planning tools such as SAP APO, Oracle, or SAP ERP. Analyze historical sales data, market trends, Nielsen reports, and other relevant data sources to identify demand patterns and forecast future needs. Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to understand customer needs and upcoming demand. Communicate significant demand changes, risks, and opportunities to internal teams. Analyze forecast accuracy and recommend improvements. Conduct root cause analysis for forecast variances and implement corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy continuously. Manage inventory levels effectively through demand forecasting analysis, inventory control strategies, and supply chains. Support inventory planning and help identify potential shortages or excess inventory. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Operations Research or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications such as Six Sigma are a plus. Proven experience in demand planning or supply chain management roles with strong knowledge of ERP systems like SAP. Deep understanding of inventory management principles, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and supply chain solutions (enterprise solutions). Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform statistical modeling and quantitative analysis for demand forecasting. Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills to coordinate with sales, manufacturing, logistics, purchasing, and product management teams. Familiarity with supply chain management solutions such as SAP ERP or Oracle ERP systems; experience with demand forecasting analysis is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain environment.
