Custom Manufacturing Order Entry Specialist

RC Furniture is seeking an experienced, detail oriented Order Entry Specialist to join our team. We manufacture custom upholstered furniture, and our orders often involve unique configurations, materials, finishes, dimensions, and customer specifications. The ideal candidate has experience processing detailed orders in a custom manufacturing environment, possesses strong problem solving skills, and can independently identify discrepancies and communicate effectively to ensure accuracy. This position requires more than basic data entry experience. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of reviewing and verifying detailed product specifications before processing orders. Key Responsibilities Review and process incoming customer orders received from dealers, interior designers, and sales representatives. Accurately enter standard and custom furniture orders into the company's order management system. Review product specifications, including configurations, dimensions, fabrics, finishes, cushion options, and shipping instructions. Identify missing, incorrect, or conflicting order information and communicate with the appropriate parties to obtain clarification. Verify that orders contain all required information before processing. Communicate professionally with dealers, designers, sales representatives, and internal departments regarding order details and corrections. Assist with customer quotes and custom order requests as needed. Maintain accurate order records and documentation. Manage multiple orders and priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Follow established procedures and adapt to changes in product specifications and order processing requirements. Qualifications Required: Minimum 3 years of order entry or order processing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably involving custom or made to order products. Experience reviewing detailed product specifications and identifying order discrepancies. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with computers and order processing software. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Comfortable communicating with customers and internal departments to resolve order related questions. Preferred: Experience in custom furniture, upholstery, cabinetry, millwork, or similar manufacturing industries. Experience with ERP or manufacturing order management systems. Familiarity with custom product configurations, materials, finishes, or dimensional specifications. Experience assisting with customer quotes or custom product requests. Compensation $24.00 to $28.00 per hour , depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
