Packaging and Closing Manager – High-Output Soup Kitchen
Location: North Vancouver
Schedule: Afternoon–Close | 5 shifts | 40h/week
Start: Immediate
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (experience-dependent)
This Role
We are hiring a Closing Shift Manager to take full ownership of packaging, inventory, and end-of-day execution in a fast-paced, production-driven soup kitchen.
This is a working closing role, not a training position.
What You Will Own
- Accurate packaging (weight, seal, label — no rework)
- Ingredient distribution of a hand-packaged good
- Inventory and accounting of finished products
- End-of-day sanitation and reset
- Final responsibility for the kitchen at close
- Clear handoff for next-day production
This Role Is a Fit If You:

Have 2+ years in a professional kitchen

Can work independently without supervision
- Move quickly and cleanly under pressure
- Take pride in finishing strong at the end of a shift

Are comfortable being the last accountable person on site
This Role Is NOT a Fit If You:
- Are still learning basic kitchen flow
- Need frequent direction or reminders
- Dislike closing shifts or responsibility
- Prefer casual or slow kitchen environments
