Customer Services Representative

Department: Transportation & Fleet

Location: 8470 Keele St, Concord ON

Shift:  8 am to 4:30 pm or 8:30 to 5 pm, Monday to Friday  

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Expected Salary: $48,000 - 55,000 Range

Here’s what we do…

CMI sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America and ensure they do not end up in a landfill or go to waste. Our recycling stream ensures that all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals that enter our yards will create something new again!

Summary

The CSR provides exceptional service to both internal and external customers. In this role, you will coordinate material pickup requests, create work orders and ensure customer inquiries and concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and respond promptly to customer inquiries by phone and email
  • Coordinate and schedule transportation requests, ensuring accuracy and timely communication
  • Work closely with dispatch, drivers, customers, and external carriers to resolve issues and provide updates
  • Manage transportation-related documentation, charges, carrier rates, and ticket processing
  • Maintain customer schedules, work instructions, and operational records
  • Support bin tracking, dispatch activities, reporting, and general transportation administration
  • Provide backup support for the Logistics Administrator and assist with other duties as required
  • Prepare reports and perform additional administrative tasks as assigned

  • The position is performed in an office environment.

 Skills/Knowledge/Experience required to perform the job:

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education is an asset
  • Previous customer service, logistics, or administrative experience preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Accurate data entry and keyboarding skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Eager to learn and adapt to changing business needs
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines and managing urgent requests during peak periods
