Cross-Border Expedite Cargo Van Driver

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Cross-Border Expedite Cargo Van Driver to transport time-sensitive freight between Canada and the United States. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of long-haul operations, U.S.–Canada border procedures, and expedite freight transportation. The successful candidate must be comfortable spending extended periods on the road, meeting tight delivery schedules, and working closely with dispatch to maximize load opportunities, operational efficiency, and revenue. Qualifications and Requirements Minimum of 1* years of commercial driving experience*. Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence . Eligible to travel and work on cross-border routes between Canada and the United States, with the required documentation: Valid Canadian passport, or Permanent Resident (PR) card or work permit and a valid U.S. visa, as applicable. Clean driving record and satisfactory background check. Ability to successfully pass drug and alcohol screening, where required. Experience transporting expedite, time-sensitive, or priority freight. Knowledge of U.S.–Canada border crossing procedures and applicable Electronic Logging Device (ELD) requirements. Strong communication, time management, and trip-planning skills. Ability to remain on the road for extended periods and work flexible hours. Professional attitude, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Key Responsibilities Transport expedite freight safely, efficiently, and within required delivery timelines. Complete and verify all necessary shipping, customs, and border-crossing documentation. Maintain regular communication with dispatch regarding availability, location, delivery status, and load opportunities. Coordinate with dispatch to maximize trip efficiency, minimize downtime, and improve revenue potential. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or maintenance requirements. Ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations, border requirements, and ELD regulations. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with shippers, receivers, customers, and dispatch personnel. Protect freight from damage and ensure proper handling throughout transportation. Maintain accurate trip records, delivery confirmations, and other required documentation. Operating Area Cross-border routes between Canada and the United States. Long-haul routes throughout the U.S. Midwest and other major freight corridors. Regular destinations may include Texas, Arizona, Indiana, Illinois , and surrounding states. Flexibility to travel to other destinations based on customer requirements and dispatch assignments.
