Crater / Shipping Crate Builder Job Type: Full-time Schedule: M-F 8:00am – 4:30pm, Day Shift Preferred Location: In Person Hourly wage: $19.00 Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Crater / Shipping Crate Builder to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for building, assembling, and auditing custom shipping crates used to protect products during transportation. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, is safety-conscious, and is eager to learn and grow within a manufacturing environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Build and assemble custom wooden crates and packaging for products being shipped to customers. Audit shipments to ensure products are packaged correctly and meet shipping requirements. Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret work orders, specifications, and shipping instructions. Inspect completed crates for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity. Safely operate saws, drills, nail guns, and other construction and manufacturing equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Assist with loading, packaging, and preparing products for shipment. Work with team members across manufacturing departments to meet production schedules. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Cross-train and assist in other manufacturing areas as needed. Heat Shrink Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in crating, carpentry, construction, manufacturing, packaging, or woodworking is a plus but not required. Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools. Basic measuring and math skills. Ability to read and follow work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable attendance and a positive attitude. Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new skills and grow within the company. Forklift Certified Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
