1st shift = 8am-4:30pm 2nd shift = 4pm-12:30am M-Th + $1 Shift Premium Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Crate Builder to join our dynamic construction and restoration team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, assembling, and customizing crates to securely transport a variety of materials and equipment. Your expertise in woodworking, carpentry, and construction will ensure that each crate is built to precise specifications, providing safe and reliable packaging solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential remodels to industrial restorations, utilizing your craftsmanship and technical skills to deliver high-quality results. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine crate specifications and dimensions Measure, cut, assemble, and fasten wood or metal components using hand tools (such as saws, hammers, chisels) and power tools (including drills, saws, sanders) for woodworking and framing Construct custom crates tailored to specific project needs while ensuring durability and safety standards are met Handle heavy lifting safely when transporting raw materials or completed crates on-site or within workshop areas Install fixtures or additional features such as rebar reinforcements or mold remediation components as required by project specifications Maintain a clean, organized workspace by adhering to power tool safety protocols and proper storage of materials Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of crate fabrication aligned with project schedules Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, carpentry, or woodworking within residential or restoration industries Strong knowledge of wood construction materials, including siding, drywall, caulking, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for woodworking tasks with a focus on safety standards for power tool operation Familiarity with construction plans and interpreting technical drawings accurately Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and safety procedures Background in remodeling projects or the restoration industry is highly desirable Ability to perform precise assembly tasks such as cabinet installation or fixture mounting while maintaining quality standards Join us if you’re passionate about craftsmanship and eager to contribute your carpentry expertise in a fast-paced environment.
