Crane Rigger / Forklift operator

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Crane Rigger and Forklift Operator, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of materials within our yard. This energetic position requires a proactive individual who thrives in fast-paced settings, demonstrating expert skills in heavy equipment operation, materials handling, and work efficiency. Your expertise will help streamline shipping, receiving, while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Operate forklifts, give and receive hand signals in operation, unload and move materials safely and efficiently. Rig and secure loads using appropriate rigging techniques to ensure stability during lifting operations. Conduct thorough inspections of equipment before use to adhere to OSHA safety regulations and mechanical standards. Manage shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments Support yard distribution activities by organizing storage areas, stacking pallets, and performing heavy lifting tasks as needed. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate material movement, optimize space utilization, and uphold safety protocols during all operations. Experience Proven experience operating forklifts, and other heavy machinery in a yard. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is highly desirable. Previous experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus, demonstrating the ability to oversee team activities effectively. Familiarity with construction sites or industrial environments enhances your ability to adapt quickly to various operational demands. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during load & unload procedures.
