Courier Driver/Package Delivery

Duties Safely operate vans, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices. Plan and execute efficient delivery routes using mobile devices or GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries. Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records in compliance with company policies. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly. Assist with warehouse operations when necessary, including inventory management, moving packages within the warehouse, and supporting warehouse staff. Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of route driving and delivery procedures. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely; familiarity with manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks is a plus. Knowledge of traffic laws, weight handling in the workplace, and safe lifting practices. Experience working with mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation. Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is desirable. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude; strong communication skills are essential.
