Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Courier Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering freight, packages, and goods efficiently and safely across various routes, ensuring timely arrivals and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a keen attention to safety regulations, and the ability to handle different types of cargo, including hazardous materials and specialized freight. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an essential part of our delivery network, supporting our commitment to reliable service and operational excellence. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of delivery vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured according to safety standards. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Document delivery details accurately, including mileage logs, delivery receipts, and incident reports. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes or delivery issues while maintaining a professional attitude at all times. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving or truck driving within logistics or freight transportation environments. Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling for various cargo types such as refrigerated goods or hazardous materials. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning for efficient route driving. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers safely and confidently. Understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA standards, hazard communication protocols, and hazardous materials regulations. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving preferred. Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely while loading/unloading cargo; experience with freight management is a plus. Join us as a Courier Driver and become a vital part of our logistics team!
