Courier Driver

Job Overview As a Courier Driver, you’ll move freight safely and reliably between pickup and delivery locations. You’ll plan route driving with GPS navigation, protect cargo during transit, and complete required delivery and vehicle documentation. Responsibilities Load, unload, secure, and inspect freight; use safe manual handling practices and report damage or shipment concerns. Operate assigned vehicles, which may include trucks with manual transmissions, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers. Follow hazardous materials and dangerous goods requirements when handling regulated cargo, including hazmat shipments. Use GPS navigation, maintain delivery records, and communicate route or delivery issues promptly. Skills Required: Knowledge of commercial driving, truck driving, delivery driving, logistics cargo handling, and applicable safety regulations. Preferred: Delivery driver experience, freight handling, automobile transportation, and route planning. Preferred: Familiarity with hazmat, hazardous materials regulations, and dangerous goods procedures.
