Courier Driver

Duties Safely operate a variety of vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers to transport freight across local, regional, or over-the-road (OTR) routes Plan delivery routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines Load and unload cargo with manual handling techniques while ensuring proper securing of hazardous or dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations Follow FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations for commercial truck driving and safety standards Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each shipment while complying with all safety protocols Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure truck safety and readiness for operation Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries, report issues, or delays promptly Skills Proven experience in delivery driving, freight transportation, or similar roles involving route driving and logistics cargo handling Strong knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures, including hazardous materials handling when applicable Skilled in using GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time navigation adjustments Ability to operate manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers safely under various conditions Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT compliance, and safety standards for commercial driving Excellent manual handling skills for load & unload tasks involving heavy or fragile cargo Experience with refrigerated trailers or specialized freight transportation is a plus Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and a commitment to safety on the road Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise makes a difference!
