Responsibilities: Assist walk-in and phone customers with metal product selection, pricing, and order fulfillment Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale and order management systems Cut and prepare metal products to customer specifications Maintain showroom and counter area in a clean, organized, and professional manner Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business Receive, stock, and manage inventory of metal products including steel, aluminum, brass, and more Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment Requirements: Prior experience in counter sales, retail, or customer service preferred Ability to identify and work with various metal types and products is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude Basic math skills for measurements, pricing, and inventory management Ability to lift and handle heavy materials (up to 50+ lbs) in a warehouse/retail environment Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player Proficiency with basic computer systems and point-of-sale software About Us: Hajek Metals Inc, operating as Metal Supermarkets, is part of the world's largest supplier of small-quantity metals, proudly serving contractors, manufacturers, hobbyists, and DIYers in the Louisville area.
