Cottonseed railcar loading Branch Manager
Quito Gin, Inc.Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Branch Manager to oversee daily operations at our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, managing logistics activities, maintaining accurate records, oversee equipment maintenance and ensuring efficient handling of cottonseed products. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Heavy machinery operating skills would bring more value to this job. Duties Oversee the weighing of inbound trucks and outbound railcars to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards. Supervise the stacking of cottonseed in the warehouse, maintaining organized storage practices. Manage the loading of gondola railcars efficiently and safely. Supervise the railcar tarp crew to ensure proper covering and protection of cargo. Stage railcars for loading and unloading operations, coordinating with logistics teams. Lead and manage a team of 3 to 4 employees, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Keep detailed daily records of all operational activities, including weights, loads, and personnel tasks. Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies throughout all operations. Coordinate with other departments to optimize workflow and operational efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, or related field preferred. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising small teams. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a dynamic environment. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping. Knowledge of safety procedures related to warehouse operations and railcar handling. Physical ability to perform tasks such as stacking cottonseed and managing heavy equipment. Good communication skills to effectively supervise staff and coordinate with teams.
