United States, Coraopolis Operations (Engineers, Geoscience, Specialists, Operators) The Costing & Planning Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for engineered-to-order and custom meter configurations while supporting production planning activities. This role works closely with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations to develop competitive quotations, maintain product costing data, support production planning, and drive process improvements through automation and digital solutions. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for engineered-to-order and custom meter configurations. Analyze bills of materials (BOMs), labor requirements, and supplier pricing to develop accurate quotations. Support Sales and Engineering with tendering activities and cost analysis. Evaluate the cost impact of design changes, alternate materials, and supplier pricing changes. Maintain costing data, BOMs, and product information within the ERP system. Assist the planning team with production scheduling, material requirements, and demand review activities. Support ERP/MRP planning processes and data accuracy. Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations to resolve costing and planning issues. Prepare reports and analyses related to costing, quotations, and production planning. Identify opportunities to improve costing accuracy and planning efficiency. Identify and implement process improvements through ERP systems, Microsoft 365 tools, automation, reporting, and business intelligence solutions to reduce manual effort, improve data accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field preferred. Experience in costing, estimating, manufacturing, planning, or supply chain functions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP. Experience driving process optimization and digital transformation initiatives through the use of ERP systems, Microsoft 365 tools, automation, and business intelligence solutions to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. U.S. citizenship required.
