Cooler & Warehouse Supervisor

We’re looking for a reliable, organized, hands-on supervisor to lead our cooler and warehouse team. You’ll work alongside the crew packing oysters and clams, preparing orders, and organizing inventory while directing daily work and making sure orders leave accurately, on time, and up to our quality standards. This is an active working supervisor position with direct responsibility for the people and work in your area. Key Responsibilities Lead the crew: Assign daily tasks, communicate priorities, and adjust work assignments to meet packing and shipping deadlines. Set clear expectations: Train team members, monitor their work, provide feedback, and address performance concerns with management. Work alongside the team: Pack oysters and clams, prepare boxes and labels, and help complete orders during busy periods. Check quality and accuracy: Verify product condition, counts, packaging, and labeling before orders leave the facility. Address mistakes and flag quality concerns promptly. Keep inventory organized: Maintain orderly cold storage, follow product rotation procedures, and communicate shortages or discrepancies. Maintain food safety standards: Follow and reinforce established procedures for temperature control, sanitation, product handling, and required records. Keep the workplace safe: Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely, ensure equipment is used by trained personnel, and report hazards or equipment problems. Keep operations moving: Maintain packing supplies, coordinate with farm and delivery staff, and communicate issues that could affect orders or schedules. Improve daily routines: Identify practical ways to reduce errors, prevent wasted product, and keep the warehouse clean and efficient. What We’re Looking For Experience in warehouse operations, packing, distribution, food production, or a similar hands-on environment. Previous experience leading a crew or training coworkers preferred. Ability to give clear direction, follow up on assignments, and hold team members accountable respectfully and consistently. Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. Willingness to work regularly in a cold storage environment and perform physical tasks, including standing, lifting, packing, and moving product. Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.
