About Our Client: This organization operates in the kitchen, cooking, and food product industry, focusing on design-led product development. Founded in 2016, the program aims to introduce innovative, design-forward products to the market. The company is scaling its product launch capacity significantly, with a goal to increase from 4 to 15 new product launches per year, addressing challenges in sourcing and supplier management to support growth. About the Opportunity: The PRODUCT SOURCING SPECIALIST role is responsible for owning the sourcing process for new product development to enable a substantial increase in product launches. This position involves managing supplier identification, negotiation, and compliance processes to ensure products progress from concept to market launch efficiently. The role directly impacts the organization’s growth by resolving sourcing bottlenecks and driving product delivery to fulfillment. Responsibilities: Take product specifications, mockups, and design briefs and identify suitable suppliers Contact 5-6 potential suppliers per product, secure NNN agreements, and obtain quotes Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities, lead times, samples, and production details Manage communications with suppliers regarding design and component options Coordinate with leadership on product decisions Validate product viability using unit economics frameworks including cost sheets and HTS codes Oversee the product lifecycle until it is checked into FBA in the US Requirements: Experience in sourcing including negotiation, understanding MOQs, lead times, production, and ocean freight Baseline knowledge of unit economics such as cost sheets and HTS codes Proven experience sourcing from China; experience with Vietnam is a plus but not required Familiarity with exporting shelf-stable food products and food compliance requirements Pay Range and Compensation Package: $2,750-$3,500 per month gross salary Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
