Convenience Store Clerk

We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and customer-oriented Convenience Store Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist customers, handle daily store operations, process lottery transactions and money transfers, and provide excellent customer service. The position may also include check-cashing services in the future, following the necessary training and company procedures. Responsibilities Greet customers and provide friendly, professional customer service. Operate the cash register and process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately. Sell lottery tickets and assist customers with lottery-related transactions. Process money transfers and follow all required procedures. Assist with check-cashing services in the future, after appropriate training and authorization. Verify customer identification and follow applicable transaction and security procedures. Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming store environment. Restock shelves and assist with inventory management. Balance the cash drawer and report any discrepancies. Follow company policies and applicable laws and regulations. Qualifications Previous retail, convenience store, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn point-of-sale and money transfer systems. Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately. Good communication skills and a friendly attitude. Ability to communicate in English and either Portuguese or Spanish. Fluency is not required, but the candidate must be able to communicate with customers. Dependable, honest, organized, and detail-oriented. Willingness to learn lottery, money transfer, and future check-cashing procedures. Must be able to communicate in English and Portuguese OR English and Spanish . On-Call Requirements Must be available on an on-call basis to help cover shifts when other employees are absent or unable to work. Must be reachable by phone and able to respond to requests for shift coverage. Flexibility and the ability to report to work on short notice are preferred.
