This position may be considered for remote work. This role is crucial in managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring efficient procurement processes while maintaining compliance with corporate, regulatory, and federal requirements. Key Responsibilities include: Review and oversee purchasing decisions, orders, and vendor contracts Manage procurement activities for materials and supplies, including vendor selection and negotiation; working closely with product line managers, business development and contract proposal personnel to provide expert support regarding proposal and contract strategies, risk ratings, cost basis determination and responses. Create and process purchase orders while maintaining detailed documentation Advise management regarding contract clarity, legal issues and risks, compliance requirements, and budgetary issues and estimates to ensure informed decisions by corporate stakeholders. Oversee contract performance and serve as primary advisor to Project Manager regarding contract conflicts. Ensure revenue growth and profit enhancement by mitigating risks from contractual terms and conditions Provide contract advice and recommendations to management/technical personnel regarding contract administration, risk avoidance, change order management and cost or pricing data. Develop and follow established contracts and purchasing procedures in generating company RFIs / RFQs / RFPs / Subcontracts / POs to manage the assigned projects from cradle to grave. Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory and federal requirements Participate in internal and external audits as needed Maintain accurate records and documentation Requirements All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position: BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Finance or similar field, or comparable experience in lieu of degree, plus a minimum of 10 years of related work experience. An advanced degree (MS or MBA) may substitute for 1-2 years of related work experience. Professional Certifications (CPCM, CFCM, PMP, CPA, CPM, CSCM, etc.) strongly desired. Excellent understanding and direct hands-on experience with Federal Government contracts, FAR, DEAR, DFAR, AFAR, comptroller general decisions, agency regulations and integrated as they relate to Government contract requirements for multiple types of contracts, such as FFP, CP, T&M, IDIQ and FOA. Advanced training in contract law and contract changes on Government contracts. Direct, hands-on experiencing working on the ARDP FOAs, WIPP Contracts, Packaging Contracts, SRS Contracts, SRR Contracts, etc. Proven ability to advise management regarding contract clarity, legal issues and risks, compliance requirements, and budgetary issues and estimates to ensure informed decisions by corporate stakeholders. Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with complex engineering projects. Technical Skills & Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience with procurement and contract management systems Knowledge of procurement best practices and regulatory requirements Understanding of contract terms and conditions Experience with purchase order processing and documentation Professional Skills: Strong negotiation abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Sharp analytical and problem-solving capabilities Ability to build and maintain relationships…
