Latitude LegalLatitude is assisting a branded food company specializing in consumer packaged foods to find a dynamic and experienced Contracts Manager/Paralegal to work part-time (20 hours per week) at the company on an engagement basis, with the potential to convert to a permanent full-time position based on performance and business needs. This position is fully remote. The Contracts Manager/Corporate Paralegal is responsible for supporting the General Counsel by managing contract-related processes, ensuring compliance with legal and business requirements, and enhancing the efficiency of legal operations. This role involves reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, collecting and maintaining contracts into a centralized location, assisting with corporate governance matters as needed, supporting compliance initiatives, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to streamline legal processes and mitigate risk. Core Responsibilities For Contracts Manager/Corporate Paralegal (Fully Remote) Review, draft, and negotiate contracts from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with legal and business requirements. Lead contract negotiations from initiation to execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and risk management strategies. Develop, implement, and optimize processes, workflows, and tools to enhance the efficiency of the legal department, including contract review, management, and retention, as well as data and records retention policies. Support the General Counsel in contract lifecycle management, and the establishment of standardized contracting procedures to ensure consistency across the organization. Assist in creating and maintaining contract templates, policies, and guidelines to streamline contracting processes and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Assist in managing and updating corporate minute books, records, and state registrations and filings as needed. Assist the General Counsel in preparing and delivering training sessions and toolkits for the business while supporting the development of efficient contracting processes. Organize and maintain contracts and other legal department files in accordance with corporate policies governing legal document retention and correspondence. Collaborate and communicate with various departments to ensure seamless legal support and integration of legal considerations into business operations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications For Contracts Manager/Corporate Paralegal (Fully Remote) Significant prior experience acting as the lead in reviewing, negotiating and finalizing agreements. Experience providing legal and compliance support to companies operating in regulated industries, ensuring adherence to industry-specific laws, standards, and best practices. Must have experience working with SharePoint legal portals and other contracts CLMs tools/software. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year institution. Paralegal education or certification, along with prior paralegal experience, is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish trust and maintain confidentiality. Proven ability to handle complex assignments. Advanced computer and technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team-oriented while fostering positive working relationships and a constructive work environment. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
