leum, or commodity trading industry, with hands-on experience using an ETRM system such as RightAngle, Endur/Openlink, Allegro, TriplePoint, or a similar platform.
This position will be responsible for analyzing inventory movements, identifying and resolving out-of-balance conditions, and coordinating with schedulers, traders, terminal operations, supply/marketing, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Reconcile hydrocarbon inventory across terminals, pipelines, marine locations, and other physical locations.
• Ensure accurate and timely actualization of product and inventory movements within an ETRM system.
• Analyze inventory discrepancies and investigate out-of-balance conditions.
• Coordinate with schedulers, traders, terminal operations, supply/marketing, contract administration, and other teams to resolve inventory and volumetric issues.
• Review physical movement data, pipeline information, terminal records, and third-party documentation for accuracy.
• Ensure terminal and equity inventory positions are accurately balanced before monthly ETRM close.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end inventory closing activities.
• Research and resolve inventory, billing, settlement, and volumetric discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support compliance with operational and contractual agreements.
• Assist with physical terminal inventory count observations in coordination with operations and internal audit teams.
• Prepare reports and perform reconciliation activities using Microsoft Excel and other business applications.
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience working with an ETRM, ERP, or similar energy/commodity management system.
• Experience with systems such as RightAngle, Endur/Openlink, Allegro, TriplePoint, ION ETRM, SAP Commodity Management, or similar platforms.
• Experience in oil & gas, energy, petroleum, refining, commodity trading, pipeline, or terminal operations.
• Experience with inventory reconciliation, settlement, volume reconciliation, or movement actualization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and work with multiple teams to resolve issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with hydrocarbon inventory management.
• Experience with refined products, crude oil, natural gas, NGLs, or other physical commodities.
• Experience working with pipelines, terminals, marine movements, or storage facilities.
• Experience supporting month-end or financial close activities.
• SAP experience.
• Experience working directly with traders, schedulers, terminal personnel, or supply/marketing teams.
• Experience participating in physical inventory counts or terminal inventory observations.
Ideal Background:
Candidates with experience as a Settlement Analyst, Inventory Analyst, ETRM Analyst, Movement Capture Analyst, Energy Operations Analyst, Back Office Analyst, Scheduling Analyst, or similar energy-sector professional are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with Endur/Openlink or other ETRM experience are welcome even if they have not previously worked with RightAngle.
