Contractor Sales/Warehouse Personnel

Job title Contractor Sales/Warehouse Personnel Reports to Branch Manager Job purpose To help contractors with ordering the proper material for their particular project. To provide knowledge and advice on products for ceramic tile installation. To timely and accurately pull orders for our customers. To unload/load trucks for our customers and from our vendors. To provide the level of customer service our customers have relied on over the last 65 years. Duties and responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls Help contractors with placing orders, either stock or special order Handle payments for order using either cash, check, or credit card Provide outstanding customer service with a great attitude. Track orders for customers Resolve any customer disputes Properly handle any customer returns of material. Greet contractors/customers in a friendly manner Pulling and fulfilling customer orders, ensuring accuracy and all paperwork is completed Pulling and staging orders for shipment Frequently sorting and placing inventory to assigned locations throughout warehouse, manually and/or with a fork lift Keeping the warehouse clean and organized for a safe working environment Processing incoming/outgoing trucks efficiently Lifting items weighing up to 60 pounds on a regular basis Reviewing all products and packages to ensure free from damage Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred Basic math skills Knowledge of construction industry, especially ceramic tile construction Southware software experience preferred Ability to work with computers Ability to function in a fast pace environment Friendly, outgoing personality with ability to interact with all types of individuals Certified Fork Lift operator, or willing to obtain certification. Working conditions Must be able to work during the day and some weekends. Must be willing to work with challenging clients at times. Must be willing to work in warehouse setting and sales/showroom setting. Physical requirements This position requires standing for extended period of times. May be asked to pick up material that may weigh up to 60 lbs. May be required to climb ladder to get samples, etc. Will need to be able to operate a forklift and other warehouse machinery. Direct reports This position is not a supervisory role.
