Duties The primary purpose of this position, CONTRACT SPECIALIST, NH-1102-03 is to serve as a warranted contracting officer. To provide business advice and to perform all pre-award and post-award functions for a wide variety of highly specialized procurements of significant importance to the agency or multiple agencies using a wide range of contracting methods and types. To procure services, commodities, and/or construction for complex and/or diversified programs. -As part of an Integrated Acquisition Team, plan the overall approach to meet contracting program objectives for a wide range for AF-wide, DoD-wide, or multiple agency multi-million or billion dollar programs or systems that span multiple years or involve successive program stages. -Procure complex and/or diversified services, commodities, and/or construction. -Execute post-award contract performance management actions on assigned contracts. -Serve as business advisor to a wide range of customers, participate in special projects/initiatives and perform special assignments. Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance as well as an official government passport and appropriate visas. Employee must within 30-days of assuming this position and annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, “Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.” Employee is required to attend annual ethics and procurement integrity training. This is an acquisition coded position. Selectee must complete required certification level 1 in Contracting within 24 months of assignment. This is a Centrally Managed position under the Contracting Career Field.
