Contract Delivery Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Contract Delivery Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities ●Safely operate your own vehicle to transport meals and like items to designated locations. ●Load and unload meals and like items as required, ensuring proper handling, and securing of items during transit. ●Plan and execute the most efficient routes to reach destinations on time, considering factors such as traffic, weather, and road conditions. ●Provide exceptional customer service to clients and always maintaining a professional demeanor. ●Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving, prioritizing safety for all road users. ●Maintain open communication with Driver Manager by providing updates on delivery status, delays, or other relevant information. ●Demonstrate flexibility in working hours and schedules. ●Respond to any emergencies or unexpected situations encountered during transit with composure and efficiency, following established protocols. ●Represent the company in a professional manner, maintaining a clean and tidy appearance and exhibiting a positive attitude when interacting with customers or the public. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Valid car insurance. Must be 18 or older. Must have and maintain a valid email address. Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS devices and route planning software. Ability to lift and carry heavy items a minimum of 30lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading meals and like items. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with passengers, clients, and team members. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays. Commitment to safety and the ability to handle emergencies or unexpected situations calmly and efficiently.
