Contingent Buyer/Planner

Role Overview: This position involves planning production requirements, forecasting to suppliers, sourcing parts, and purchasing materials to support manufacturing, development, and racing activities. It manages core supply chain functions, including planning analysis, supplier negotiations, delivery, and quality assurance, to ensure optimal value and timely availability of parts. Key Responsibilities Planning & Purchasing: Lead production analysis, release purchase orders, provide forecasts, negotiate prices, manage inventory levels, and oversee part revisions to meet assembly and development needs. Supplier Management: Monitor supplier performance, ensure on-time delivery and quality, facilitate communication, and resolve procurement issues through meetings and technical evaluations. Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to address component quality, delivery issues, and capacity constraints, providing status updates and supporting workload management. Administrative Tasks: Maintain purchase documentation, plan schedules, ensure compliance with training requirements, and complete necessary procurement actions efficiently. Qualifications & Skills Minimum 5 years of manufacturing and procurement experience, preferably in machine shop environments. Knowledge of production equipment, supplier management, and procurement processes. Strong negotiation, planning, and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent industry experience. Proficiency with purchasing software and ability to work independently and resolve conflicts effectively.
