Job Summary Greetings, This is Elis with ZS TRANSPORTATION LLC. As a family-run drayage company, we proudly operate a small fleet of company trucks and are looking to hire 4 more reliable / professional drivers to handle our local / regional deliveries. Most of our customers are local (within 50 miles) but at times there are deliveries within a 250 - 300 mile radius. We run a neat operations team (dedicated dispatch) with well taken care of private equipment and automatic 2016 - 2018 Volvo trucks (dedicated mechanic). Experience with containers is a major plus. Drive local container freight on weekday routes, with a Monday–Friday schedule (weekend optional), shifts typically lasting 12 to 14 hours (start time at 5:00AM - 6:00AM), and daily home time. Weekend work is optional. You’ll operate a commercial tractor-trailer (Volvo automatic models), follow assigned routes, and handle freight safely and reliably. Your impact: Safe, timely deliveries help customers keep their logistics operations moving. Responsibilities Drive local delivery routes and follow GPS navigation, dispatch instructions, and applicable road rules. Operate a commercial truck and tractor-trailer Load, unload, and secure freight, using safe manual handling and cargo-handling practices. Inspect equipment and cargo, and follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including hazardous materials rules when applicable. Communicate route or delivery issues promptly and complete required trip and delivery records. Experience Required: Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL-A) and a safe driving record. Required: Commercial truck driving, commercial driving, truck driving, delivery driving, route driving, or delivery driver experience. Preferred: Experience with container freight, automobile transportation, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or over-the-road (OTR) routes. Preferred: Hazmat or dangerous goods experience and familiarity with freight logistics, truck loading and unloading, and applicable hazardous materials regulations. Ability to perform manual handling and safely manage freight; weekend availability is optional.
