Construction Yard Assistant

Job Summary As a Construction Yard Assistant, you’ll keep materials moving and the yard organized so crews can access the supplies and equipment they need. You’ll support warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment while following safety regulations and established protocols. Your impact: Accurate stocking and order picking help construction teams get the right materials when they need them, supporting safe, efficient work on site. Duties Receive, inspect, unload, load and organize incoming/outgoing materials; prepare outgoing orders through picking, packing, and packaging. Operate forklifts, and other material handling equipment when trained and authorized. Maintain clear, orderly storage areas. Follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and report hazards or inventory discrepancies. Skills Warehouse experience preferred, including warehouse management, warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping and receivin g. Materials handling skills; able to perform heavy lifting and follow safety protocols. Basic math skills.
