You as a Construction Site Logistics Planner will be:

  • Preparing preliminary and final construction logistics and phasing plans for the purpose of assisting: the estimating and scheduling department on bid proposals; the preconstruction group on planning and methodology assessment; and site teams on planning and impact assessment and mitigation.
  • Reviewing local construction and safety regulations applicable to the project and verify compliance of plans.
  • Reviewing project documents, technical specifications, and drawings (Architectural, structural, civil, mechanical/electrical) from clients and consultants to identify any constructability and feasibility limitations or restrictions, as well as any site specific restrictions and constraints.
  • Reviewing the surrounding areas of the project either through satellite imagery or a site visit to identify physical and location based constraints that will impact the works.  
  • Coordinating and attending meetings as required to plan the site logistics.
  • Preparing documents and drawings on AutoCAD and/or Revit for the following: Construction traffic; material flows; maintenance of fire routes; potential staging process and material storage; trailer compound location; tower crane locations; personnel and material hoisting logistics; construction parking; site offices; and garbage container locations.
  • Developing site plans and logistics plans for: Demolition; renovation; excavation; and new construction sequencing. These plans incorporate but are not limited to aspects listed above.
  • Producing technical write-ups describing details of construction site logistics and construction means and methods.

Is this role right for you?

  • Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technologist diploma or similar
  • 3-5 years of experience in construction.
  • Strong skills set in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience producing engineering drawings and details with respect to construction sequencing and site logistics
  • Experience with residential and commercial construction
  • Ability to work in multiple projects and with multiple site teams at the same time
  • Ability to coordinate work with other members of the team
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines
  • The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000
