Construction Project Manager
MJI ContractingMJI Contracting is looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from planning and startup through to completion. This is a hands-on role that requires someone who can take ownership of their projects, stay organized, communicate effectively, and keep things moving. You’ll work closely with site supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and the office team to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the required standards. MJI Contracting works on a variety of projects, including new multifamily and commercial construction as well as restoration. Experience with multifamily and commercial new construction is preferred. Duties: Managing construction projects from startup through to completion Coordinating with site supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients Developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules Keeping projects moving forward and addressing issues as they arise Monitoring project budgets, costs, and overall job performance Reviewing drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and other project documentation Managing change orders and project documentation Communicating project updates, issues, and requirements with the office and project team Working with the site team to ensure projects are completed safely and to a high standard Assisting with project startup, procurement, scheduling, and closeout Identifying potential delays, cost concerns, or other project issues and taking action to address them Experience and Skills: Experience in construction project management Experience with multifamily and commercial construction, with new construction experience preferred Strong understanding of construction processes and sequencing Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work Strong organization and time management skills Good communication and follow-through Ability to take ownership of projects and keep things moving without constant direction Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Comfortable managing multiple projects and competing priorities Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Valid driver's license This is a full-time, in-office position. Pay: $33.00-$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Work Location: In person
