Construction Project Engineer / Project Coordinator BuildCorp Inc., a Bay Area general contractor specializing in public works and commercial construction, is seeking a Project Engineer / Project Coordinator to support our Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination and administration. This position will assist with multiple construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Responsibilities include reviewing plans and specifications, preparing and tracking RFIs and submittals, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors, assisting with procurement and long-lead materials, maintaining project logs and documentation, tracking schedules and inspections, assisting with change orders and payment applications, and supporting punch-list and closeout activities. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable communicating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel. Key Responsibilities Review construction drawings, specifications, addenda, and project requirements Prepare, submit, and track RFIs and submittals Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, inspectors, and owners Assist with material procurement and long-lead item tracking Maintain project logs, correspondence, meeting records, and documentation Assist with project schedules and three-week look-ahead schedules Assist with change orders, proposals, cost tracking, and payment applications Track inspections, punch-list items, and project closeout documents Attend project meetings and site visits as required Support Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project needs Qualifications Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred 0–3 years of construction experience; recent graduates are welcome to apply Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications Strong organizational and communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PDF software Experience with Procore, ProjectTeam, Bluebeam, or similar construction-management software is a plus Valid driver's license and ability to travel to Bay Area project sites as needed Bilingual English/Mandarin or Cantonese preferred Construction experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right motivated candidate Compensation $28–$32 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications.
