DBNC Group is looking for a Construction Purchasing & Procurement Coordinator to join our growing team in Mississauga. We're looking for someone who is well spoken and confident on the phone, a natural talker that understands that purchasing for construction is about more than simply placing orders. You'll be responsible for sourcing construction materials, communicating with suppliers, comparing quotes, negotiating pricing, coordinating deliveries, tracking orders, and making sure our construction teams have what they need to keep projects moving. If you've worked in construction purchasing, procurement, estimating, construction administration, project coordination, building materials, or supplier/vendor management , this could be an excellent opportunity to grow with a third-generation family business. We're especially interested in someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, talking to suppliers, negotiating pricing, and finding solutions when materials, pricing, or deliveries don't go according to plan. The Role As a Construction Purchasing & Procurement Coordinator , you'll help manage the purchasing process from sourcing and quoting through ordering, delivery, and follow-up. You'll work with suppliers of construction materials, building products, equipment, tools, and services , while supporting our construction and operating teams. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys being involved in the details and doesn't mind picking up the phone to get answers. Your Responsibilities Source and purchase construction materials, building supplies, equipment, tools, and related products . Communicate with construction suppliers, vendors, manufacturers, and subcontractors. Request, obtain, and compare supplier quotes . Negotiate pricing, delivery dates, payment terms, and purchasing conditions. Research alternative products and suppliers to achieve better pricing and availability. Review material requirements and help determine the most cost-effective purchasing options. Coordinate material purchases with project requirements and timelines. Track purchase orders, deliveries, backorders, and outstanding materials. Follow up with suppliers to ensure materials arrive when required. Identify and resolve late deliveries, shortages, incorrect materials, damaged goods, and supplier issues . Build and maintain strong relationships with construction suppliers and vendors. Develop relationships with new suppliers and expand our supplier network. Monitor market pricing and identify opportunities for cost savings. Help negotiate volume pricing and better purchasing arrangements. Coordinate local and overseas purchasing where required. Communicate with international suppliers and our overseas team regarding pricing, orders, production, and shipping. Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, and order records. Work closely with project managers, site teams, operations, accounting, and company leadership. Help improve purchasing systems, procedures, and supplier relationships.
