Job description Construction Materials Coordinator – Telecom / Fiber (Remote) Contract Duration: 12+ months, with a strong likelihood of conversion to perm. Location: Remote, United States Schedule: Standard hours are 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, with Pacific Time coverage preferred Travel: Less than 10% We are seeking a Construction Materials Coordinator for a 12+month contract supporting our client's Custom Networks projects . This role manages construction materials from planning and ordering through delivery, ensuring materials are available to support fiber network deployments, site readiness, and construction milestones. The ideal candidate has experience coordinating construction materials, tracking Bills of Materials (BOMs), managing logistics, and supporting multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Track BOM requirements and changes across multiple telecommunications infrastructure projects. Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to forecast material needs and confirm required quantities and delivery dates. Coordinate material orders, procurement activities, and vendor follow-up. Work with warehouses, suppliers, and construction partners to schedule shipments and deliveries. Monitor order status, inventory availability, and material readiness against construction schedules. Resolve material shortages, shipment delays, and delivery discrepancies. Maintain accurate material tracking records and prepare Excel reports on orders, deliveries, shortages, and project readiness. Communicate material status to construction managers and escalate risks that could affect project milestones. Participate in project meetings and coordinate priorities across cross-functional teams. Qualifications Approximately 3–5 years of experience in material coordination, logistics, supply chain, or construction project coordination. Experience managing construction materials and working with Bills of Materials (BOMs). Telecommunications infrastructure or fiber network deployment experience strongly preferred. Related utility or infrastructure construction experience will also be considered. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for material tracking, reporting, and data analysis. Familiarity with material tracking, inventory, warehouse management, or project reporting systems. Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate material needs across multiple active projects. Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Outlook. Experience with One Vision is a plus. No specific certifications are required. Schedule and Work Environment This is a remote position supporting a collaborative team focused on construction delivery and schedule performance. Overtime is not expected, although occasional off-hours support may be needed. There are no regular on-call or weekend requirements. Why Apply?
