Material Sourcing and Ordering: Overview: The Material Procurement position at South Coast Construction and Development is a critical role responsible for ensuring that all necessary supplies and materials for new construction projects are ordered, delivered, and managed efficiently. The successful candidate will work closely with the Office and Project Managers to meet project timelines and specifications. DUTIES : 1. Material Sourcing and Ordering: Identify and source materials required for construction projects from various suppliers, including Home Depot and other building supply vendors. 2. Place orders for construction materials, ensuring that quantities and specifications meet project requirements. 3. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of materials. 4. Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure the best deals for the company. 5. Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure that materials arrive on-site as needed. 6. Track shipments and manage any delays or issues with deliveries to minimize project disruptions. 7. Work closely with the Office Manager and Project Manager to align material needs with project timelines and budgets. 8. Provide updates to management regarding material status, delivery timelines, and any potential issues. 9. Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries Qualifications: - Proven experience in construction material procurement. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Familiarity with construction terminology and supply chain processes. - Ability to work collaboratively with a team and manage multiple tasks effectively. Schedule : 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday Pay: $23-$35 per hour, with potential for more for exceptional candidates.
