Job Summary Skelly Build is seeking a Construction Estimator & Sales Representative to support both preconstruction estimating and client-facing sales efforts. This role is ideal for someone who understands construction, enjoys working directly with clients, and can translate project goals into accurate, competitive estimates. You will be responsible for estimating renovation and construction projects, communicating with clients, gathering subcontractor pricing, and supporting the sales process from initial inquiry through proposal delivery. A structured training period will be provided. Key Responsibilities Estimating & Preconstruction ● Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and project scopes to develop accurate cost estimates ● Complete detailed take-offs for labor, materials, and time requirements ● Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier proposals ● Prepare comprehensive bids, estimates, and pricing models ● Review existing buildings and job sites to gather information for renovation estimates ● Maintain estimating data including material pricing, labor rates, and market conditions ● Identify value-engineering and cost-saving opportunities ● Ensure estimates align with company margins and project goals Sales & Client Experience ● Serve as a primary point of contact during the estimating and proposal phase ● Communicate clearly with clients to understand needs, budgets, and expectations ● Present estimates and proposals in a clear, professional manner ● Help design solutions to client challenges in collaboration with internal teams ● Support client satisfaction throughout the preconstruction process Systems & Collaboration ● Operate and maintain the company estimating system ● Read and interpret plans, specifications, and applicable building codes ● Collaborate with project managers, designers, and trade partners ● Assist with contract preparation and procurement as needed Qualifications ● 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, sales, or a related role ● Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and renovation workflows ● Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications ● Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) local building codes ● Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; estimating software experience preferred ● Strong math skills (arithmetic, algebra, geometry) ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills ● Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven ● Personable, flexible, and client-focused ● Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus, but not required Why Join Skelly Build? ● Competitive compensation ● Hands-on role in high-end residential ● Collaborative, growth-oriented team environment ● Opportunity to develop both estimating and sales expertise ● Strong company culture focused on quality and relationships Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Application Question(s): How many years of Sales/Construction Estimating experience do you have?
