About the role Viotell Metal Concepts is hiring an experienced Estimator to own bids from plan review to signed contract. This role pays above market for someone who brings both strong estimating skills and the discipline to follow through. Viotell is a Utah-based subcontractor specializing in metal roofing, metal wall panels, and flat roofing, with a focus on high-end residential and commercial projects in the Park City and Salt Lake City areas. We're growing and building stronger systems as we go. Beyond carrying a full bid load, you'll help shape how we estimate. We want someone who will improve our estimating tools and processes and help us build a better procurement process. What you'll do Review plans, specs, and addenda to define scope, exclusions, and risks Produce accurate quantity takeoffs for metal roofing, wall panels, flat roofing, flashings, and trim using PlanSwift and Bluebeam Build complete bids covering material, labor, equipment, and overhead using our bid sheet Request and evaluate supplier quotes and manage material pricing Write clear proposals with defined scope, inclusions, and exclusions Track every bid in our CRM and follow up consistently through award Respond to GCs, builders, and owners quickly and professionally Manage multiple bids at once and meet every bid deadline Hand off won projects cleanly to project management Help improve our estimating tools, templates, and processes Help build out a company procurement process What we're looking for Skills matter, but so does how you work. The best fit is accurate, responsive, and follows through without being chased. Required: 3+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably with a roofing, sheet metal, or exterior envelope subcontractor Strong plan and spec reading skills Proficiency with digital takeoff software (PlanSwift and Bluebeam preferred) Strong Excel skills A track record of accurate takeoffs and bids Consistent, timely communication by email and phone Disciplined follow-up and organized bid tracking (CRM experience a plus) Ability to manage several bids at once under deadlines Preferred: Experience with metal roofing, standing seam, wall panels, or low-slope roofing systems Experience bidding high-end custom residential and commercial work Familiarity with manufacturer specs and warranty requirements Experience improving processes, templates, or estimating tools Purchasing or procurement experience Pay and schedule Pay: $80,000–$100,000, depending on experience, plus a performance bonus tied to bid accuracy, follow-up, and margin on won work Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM Location: In office (Salt Lake City area) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Paid time off Experience: Construction estimating: 2 years (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Salt Lake City, UT 84104
