About the role
We are looking for a Principal Advisor - Fixed Equipment to help Global Procurement develop and execute supplier, commercial and category strategies across the Fixed Equipment portfolio. Reporting to the Capital Procurement Manager - Fixed Equipment, you will support major project engagement and help teams turn market intelligence, supplier relationships and commercial expertise into practical decisions that improve competitiveness, strengthen supply assurance and create long-term value.
Working with Major Project teams, Product Groups, China Sourcing, strategic suppliers and senior business stakeholders, you will operate across strategic and operational priorities. This is an opportunity to use Rio Tinto's global scale and portfolio demand to shape procurement and delivery approaches across significant capital investments.
What you'll be doing
• Partner with Major Project teams to bring market perspectives, supplier intelligence and commercial insights into procurement and supplier engagement decisions.
• Influence procurement and supplier strategies early in the project lifecycle to improve competitiveness, strengthen supply assurance and maximise long-term value.
