Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Compliance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Canadian customs regulations, trade compliance, and import/export procedures. This role will play a key part in ensuring that all customs activities are conducted in strict accordance with CBSA regulations, trade agreements, and company policies. Key Responsibilities Monitor and ensure compliance with CBSA regulations, customs laws, and other government agency requirements Perform audits and reviews of customs entries, classifications, valuation, and origin declarations Identify and correct discrepancies to mitigate compliance risks Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and communicate updates to internal teams and clients Assist with the resolution of customs delays, requests for information, and enforcement actions Provide support and guidance to internal teams and clients regarding HS classification, permits, valuation, and documentation requirements Liaise with CBSA, CFIA, and other regulatory bodies as needed Maintain and update internal compliance documentation, SOPs, and training materials Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in customs compliance or a similar role within the brokerage or logistics industry CCS designation (Certified Customs Specialist) Strong knowledge of CBSA regulations, D-Memos, and relevant trade agreements (CUSMA, CPTPP, etc.) Experience with HS classification, valuation methods, and origin determination Experience with CARM and other Canadian customs systems High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Proficiency with customs software and Microsoft Office Suite Why Join Us Collaborative and supportive team environment Opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and industries Professional development and training opportunities Competitive salary and benefits package Hybrid work environment Job Type Full-time, Permanent Pay $65,000 – $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications Benefits Casual dress Dental care Extended health care On-site gym Tuition reimbursement Vision care Schedule 8:30 hour shift with 30 minute break Work Location Vancouver, BC – minimum 2 days a week Remote the rest of the time How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience, salary expectations and interest in the role to info@davidsonandsons.com.
