Purpose of Position: Protect and defend the brand. Responsible for all product quality and regulatory requirements, the Compliance Manager ensures that Ganz products and supply chain comply with relevant (national and international) best practices, rules, bans, voluntary and mandatory standards. Ensuring the company is sourcing from ethical vendors and factories with respect to labor standards and working conditions. Responsibilities: Management of the Ganz Quality infrastructure including supply chain regulatory requirements. Product testing budget and expenditure Identify and assess regulatory and business issues and develop strategies to manage them. Evaluate changes in the industry and regulatory environment to understand and communicate the operational impact of emerging requirements. Support, improve and maintain the infrastructure to effectively and efficiently address and mitigate risks, exposures and liability. Keep abreast of regulatory changes and trends and communicate potential issues to senior management. Support for Customs and Border Protection (CBP) statements and submissions. Liaise with government and regulatory agencies including leadership in any recall. Project lead on fighting against forced labor reporting, CPSC eFiling requirements, RPRA reporting steward. Prepare regulatory applications and documents. Liaise with legal counsel on current issues and projects Product investigations and assessments including incident evaluation and field returns. Draft policies and review compliance related agreements. Training and education of employees and stakeholders on compliance requirements. Management of customer compliance requirements. Support the management of Ganz IP. Special projects as assigned by management. Qualifications: · Graduate degree in related science discipline. · Minimum of 10 years’ experience in regulatory affairs, legal, product safety and testing environment · Knowledge and experience with product development and sourcing/supply chain processes. Experience in a fast paced, multi-cultural, high volume and multiple SKU environment Excellent working knowledge of regulatory bodies, act and regulations, including but not limited to: CPSC, HC, CFIA, US DA (APHIS), FDA, FTC, Competition Bureau, Hazardous Substance Act, California Proposition 65, CPSIA, CCPSA, Bill S211, Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, Provincial Blue Box reporting (RPRA), . Excellent strategic capabilities combined with tactical implementation expertise. Proactive thinker with strong oral and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills both with regulators, employees, vendors and internal customers. Proven project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and initiatives successfully. Familiarity with 3rd party contract testing laboratories and analytical methodologies.Proactive thinker with strong oral and written communication skills.
