Compliance and Risk Officer— Export Controls & Govt. Compliance (Remote)
Latitude LegalCompliance & Risk Officer — Export Controls & Government Compliance (Attorney / Remote / Full-Time Permanent) Latitude is seeking an attorney with deep export controls and government contracting experience to serve as Compliance & Risk Officer — a permanent, full-time, in-house position with a growing precision manufacturing company serving the aerospace, defense, space, and semiconductor industries. This is a highly visible, enterprise-wide role reporting to the General Counsel and Compliance Officer. The lawyer selected will serve as the company's first dedicated compliance and risk leader and will be responsible for building and running a unified compliance program across multiple operating companies and facilities in the United States and Canada. The immediate priority of this role is export and government compliance. The counsel selected will own ITAR and EAR compliance, DDTC registrations and change notices, technical data access controls, the company's CUI program and CMMC Level 2 readiness, and government representations and certifications — together with corrective action (CAPA) tracking, small business subcontracting plan administration, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) compliance. This is a build role, not a maintenance role. The successful candidate will be expected to develop policies, stand up procedures and training, centralize legacy compliance practices, strengthen risk management processes, and establish recurring reporting to executive management and the Audit Committee. Alongside that export and government compliance core, the role carries enterprise risk management responsibility and the opportunity to lead the company's ESG and sustainability initiatives.
