Company OTR Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Company OTR (Over the Road) Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across long-distance routes, ensuring timely delivery of freight while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, hazardous materials, and various cargo types will be essential in maintaining our high standards of service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to travel across regions, manage complex logistics cargo handling, and contribute to the seamless movement of goods nationwide. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and hazardous materials transport. Use GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes and ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of cargo such as hazardous goods or sensitive freight. Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations during driving and cargo handling. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Manage delivery documentation accurately, including bills of lading and logs for truck loading/unloading activities. Maintain communication with dispatch teams regarding route progress, delays, or issues encountered during transit. Ensure proper handling of dangerous goods, including hazardous materials or other sensitive freight types, following all safety protocols. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on logistics cargo handling and route driving. Prior experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or tractor-trailers with manual transmissions is highly desirable. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, and hazardous materials regulations is essential. Delivery driving experience involving load & unload procedures and freight management is preferred. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for long-distance over-the-road routes. Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely while loading/unloading cargo, including dangerous goods when applicable. Strong understanding of truck loading/unloading procedures and safety protocols for various cargo types.
