Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Company Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver and take charge of delivering freight across long-distance routes with energy and precision! In this vital role, you will operate 26ft box truck, including general freight ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods. Your expertise in truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and commitment to excellent service will keep our operations running smoothly. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be on the move, navigate complex routes using GPS navigation systems, and handle diverse cargo while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate across OTR routes,, , adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Plan routes efficiently using GPS navigation tools to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securement for general freight when applicable. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or unforeseen issues during transit. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods. Skilled in operating 26ft box trucks. Proficient in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while following safety procedures for truck loading and unloading. (normally all loads are no touch) Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling. Excellent driving record with experience in over-the-road (OTR) driving routes involving long-distance travel across multiple states or regions.
