The selected driver will initially operate as part of a two-person driving team for approximately 3–4 weeks. During this period, the driver will receive hands-on training, gain experience with company operations, and become familiar with our routes, equipment, safety expectations, and freight procedures. Upon successful completion of training and evaluation, the driver will have the opportunity to transition into an independent OTR solo driving position. Job Responsibilities Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely throughout the United States. Work alongside an experienced OTR driver during the initial training period. Transport dry van freight while meeting pickup and delivery appointments. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Maintain accurate electronic logs and comply with DOT hours-of-service regulations. Communicate professionally with dispatch, brokers, and customers. Properly secure freight and maintain equipment cleanliness. Demonstrate safe driving habits, reliability, and professionalism. Prepare for independent solo operations after completing training. Training & Transition Weeks 1–2: Team Driving & Orientation Learn company procedures and expectations. Become familiar with equipment and freight operations. Practice trip planning, fuel management, and time management. Gain experience operating on regional and nationwide routes. Weeks 3–4: Solo Driver Preparation Demonstrate independent trip planning and decision-making. Improve efficiency with pickups, deliveries, and route management. Complete a final driving and safety evaluation. Prepare to transition into a solo truck assignment. Training duration may vary based on individual performance, safety, and readiness. Driver Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Meet applicable DOT medical and driver qualification requirements. Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Ability to pass required DOT drug and alcohol testing. Willingness to travel nationwide and remain OTR for extended periods. Strong communication and time-management skills. Ability to work professionally with another driver during training. Commitment to safety, punctuality, and equipment care. Newer CDL drivers are encouraged to inquire.
