Term of Employment: Full-time, Continuing Rate of Pay: Competitive pay of $450-$500 per day depending on experience, miles, and schedule, based on a percentage of the load rate. Location: Lucknow, ON Company Overview: PK Clark Trucking is a family-owned flatbed trucking company based in Lucknow, Ontario, serving customers throughout Ontario, and Michigan with some opportunity for long haul loads. Our primary specialty is the transportation of flatbed freight, including building materials, lumber, and seasonal products. Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and skilled AZ Truck Driver to transport flatbed freight across Ontario, with potential for runs into Western Canada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work independently. Duties: Operate commercial truck to transport assigned freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure safety and compliance. Assist in loading and unloading assigned freight. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Qualifications: 3 years’ experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of flatbed transportation Must possess and maintain an AZ Driver’s License with a clean driver's abstract Knowledge of flatbed operation is considered an asset Experience with load securement (strapping, chaining, and tarping) Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand the customer’s needs Proficiency in keeping accurate documentation such as Bills of Lading, Logbooks and Trip Records Understanding of HOS regulations and daily log requirements We offer: Assigned, dependable tractor Company owned and maintained trailers Required tie down equipment Positive and steady work environment Respect and recognition of capabilities/skills $40/night LOA when staying in the truck overnight is required Schedule: Monday to Friday. Weekend loads and alternate work schedules may be available for drivers seeking additional miles. Flexibility may be required based on customer needs, load availability, and operational requirements.
