What You’ll Be Contributing:

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for MEP systems and components (e.g., prefabricated MEP assemblies, piping systems, electrical distribution packages, HVAC equipment, pumps, fire protection materials);
  • Support Mechanical and Electrical Commodity Managers through shared procurement activities, supplier alignment, and cross‑trade coordination;
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and value engineering initiatives across MEP categories.

Supplier Management

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key MEP suppliers, fabricators, and integrators to ensure performance, quality, and delivery;
  • Monitor supplier capacity, lead times, performance risks, and compliance; develop and implement mitigation plans;
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, cost, lead time, and overall supplier performance.

Contract Negotiation

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions for MEP procurement scopes to achieve optimal cost, schedule alignment, and risk balance;
  • Ensure all agreements comply with company procurement policies, project requirements, and applicable legal frameworks.

Market Analysis & Risk Management

  • Track industry trends, raw material costs, and technology developments affecting MEP systems and equipment;
  • Develop and maintain risk management strategies to address potential supply disruptions, capacity constraints, and cost volatility.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with proposal, engineering, and project management teams to align sourcing strategies with technical and project-specific requirements;
  • Coordinate with site management, logistics, and construction teams to support material planning and ensure seamless delivery to project sites;
  • Collaborate with sustainability teams to integrate environmentally responsible procurement practices into MEP sourcing strategies

 

What Sets You Apart:

  • Strong technical background (bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, is preferred);
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or procurement, ideally within MEP systems or construction environments;
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision‑making skills;
  • Ability to think strategically and manage complex supplier relationships across multiple categories;
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and cross‑functional collaboration abilities;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced project environment;
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
