The ideal candidate has hands-on experience purchasing manufacturing components and is comfortable working across different commodity categories in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities for assigned commodities, including fasteners, aluminum extrusions, and other metal components.
• Support sourcing and procurement activities to meet operational and production requirements.
• Work with suppliers to address pricing, delivery, quality, and other purchasing-related issues.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve supply and purchasing concerns.
• Monitor open orders and follow up on supplier commitments to support timely delivery.
• Help maintain continuity of supply and respond to changing business needs.
Qualifications
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or commodity buying within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with manufacturing components such as fasteners, aluminum extrusions, machined parts, or other metal commodities.
• Experience working with suppliers and resolving day-to-day purchasing issues.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to manage multiple purchasing priorities across different commodities.
• Automotive or industrial manufacturing experience is beneficial.
