Commodities Buyer Responsibilities: Monitor and analyze commodities markets and global economic conditions to make informed purchase decisions Participate in bidding and contract negotiations to obtain best pricing and quality of goods Manage supplier relationsships and service level agreements Identify, evaluate and monitor and manage suppliers to develop reliable sourcing Track receipts and evaluate supplier delivery performance Monitor and manage raw materials inventories and order accordingly Work with other departments to forecast required purchases Develop and maintain periodic reports as needed Perform other duties as requested by supervisor Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Effective interpersonal skills 3-5 years’ experience with above responsibilities Basic computer literacy and working knowledge of software programs commonly used in business including ERP and Office tools Ability and willingness to learn Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to employment Strong organizational skills Awareness of packaging and transportation regulations, incoterms and methods by commodity type In our growing and expanding market, we are looking for someone who likes a challenge and has the drive, knowledge and experience to advance their career in this position.
