As a Delivery Driver & Kitchen Assistant, you will play a key role in achieving our goal of providing exceptional food to each of our guests with the support of your fellow Team Members. We are an ambitious group and are seeking a like-minded, driven person to join our Team at our Commissary Kitchen in Westdale. What we offer: A fun, dynamic, and exciting work environment Friendly and supportive Team Members that appreciate the value of working together Opportunities to learn, grow, and advance within the business Delicious meals at each shift Shared tip pool – each of our Team Members is essential to our success Team bonding activities What we're looking for: Driving & Delivery Valid Ontario G driver's licence with a clean driving record Ability to provide a current 3-year driver's abstract Experience driving a commercial delivery van is preferred Familiarity with Hamilton, Burlington, Dundas, and surrounding areas Ability to safely load, transport, and unload food products Strong time management skills and ability to follow delivery schedules Food Safety & Kitchen Experience Food Handler Certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain it Understanding of proper food handling, refrigeration, temperature control, and sanitation Previous commercial kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred Basic knife skills and food preparation experience Willingness to assist with prep, portioning, packaging, cleaning, and other Commissary duties when not making deliveries Organization & Reliability Strong attention to detail when organizing and verifying catering orders, soup deliveries, and location supply orders Ability to accurately complete delivery logs, inventory transfers, and order checklists Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for communication and delivery instructions Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and communicate effectively with management and location staff Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling, including occasional early mornings and weekends Professional appearance and good customer service skills, particularly when delivering catering orders Physical Requirements Ability to safely lift and carry up to 60 lbs, with appropriate equipment or assistance when necessary Comfortable with frequent loading, unloading, standing, and walking If you are interested in applying, please email a copy of your résumé to info@theburnttongue.com or drop one off at one in person at our Westdale location .
