Pay: $50,000-$55,000 Employment Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday , 8am to 5pm Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and dependable Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The Heavy Duty Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment Key Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment. Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Perform inspections and identify mechanical issues before they lead to equipment downtime. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment. Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems. Perform oil changes, fluid checks, brake repairs, filter replacements, and other scheduled maintenance. Inspect and maintain air brake systems, cooling systems, and suspension components. Perform trailer maintenance, including lights, brakes, landing gear, tires, and other components. Complete maintenance work orders and accurately document repairs, parts, and labor. Communicate major repair needs and equipment concerns to the Fleet/Maintenance Manager. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety procedures and applicable DOT/OSHA requirements. Properly use and maintain hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment. Assist with emergency or breakdown repairs when needed. Perform other maintenance duties as assigned Qualifications Experience working on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, or fleet equipment. Strong knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems. Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and transmission systems. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems. Ability to read and understand mechanical/electrical schematics. Ability to lift, bend, kneel, stand, and work around heavy equipment as required. Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year Language: Spanish (Required) Work Location: In person
