We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to help maximize equipment uptime, control costs, maintain compliance, and support our operations team. Position Summary The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, compliance, and performance of company trucks, trailers, service vehicles, and yellow iron equipment. This role works closely with drivers, vendors, dispatch, and management to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective fleet operations. Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the company's fleet and equipment. Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and repair activities. Monitor fleet performance, fuel usage, maintenance expenses, and operating costs. Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and other applicable regulations. Maintain records for inspections, maintenance, registrations, permits, and licensing. Work directly with drivers to address equipment and operational concerns. Coordinate roadside assistance and emergency repairs. Manage vendor relationships for maintenance, tires, fuel, and equipment purchases. Negotiate pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities. Support fleet safety programs, accident investigations, and corrective action plans. Hire, train, and evaluate fleet personnel. Analyze fleet data and prepare operational reports. Assist with dispatch and logistics functions as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience with fuel management and cost-control programs. Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills. Job Requirements: Previous experience in fleet management, trucking, transportation, or logistics operations. Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations. Experience managing vehicle maintenance programs and repair vendors. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Experience with fleet management software, Maintenance Pro, Samsara, Microsoft Office, and transportation management systems. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license required. CDL preferred but not required.
